We have been living in Costa Rica for a month now! There have been so many sweet moments and memories and I am so grateful for this life I get to live. We have been partnering with a ministry called Til He Returns in Downtown San Jose, Costa Rica. Til He Returns is a Relational based ministry where we get to build relationships with people of Costa Rica through participating in there many different programs. Some of those programs include English Club, Dance classes, Evangelism, Bracelet making, Hanging out with Kids. I thought I would share a little bit of what a day in our lives looks like. Every day looks completely different but this is just a sneak peek of what we get to do. I am excited to share more as the weeks go on!
5:45am – Wake up whenever the Lord wants me to but it’s usually around this time.
6:00am- Drink some coffee and spend time with the Lord in front of the mountains in our backyard.
8:00am- Temp checks and BREAKFAST ( Gallo pinto and scrambled eggs as usual)
8:30am- Make and pack our pbjs for lunch
8:45am- ALIGN has the house to ourselves so we spend our time relaxing and preparing for our day of ministry.
12:45pm- The guys team, Kenosis comes over to join us for lunch cooked by Xenia!
1:30pm- Alfredo our bus driver comes to pick us up to take us to downtown San Jose where our ministry is.
2:30pm- We arrive at Til He Returns and have an hour of discipleship with our whole squad. Which can look like any number of things, it’s a time of fellowship and growing closer to the Lord together .
3:30pm- The morning ministry group leaves for the day to return home and we begin our day!
4:00pm- We started with English club! Students arrive to learn English and we help by having conversations with them and letting them practice.
5:00pm- We then spent some time cleaning up the building and making sure it’s comfortable for the people coming to spend their time there!
6:00pm- DINNER TIME (it’s time to enjoy those PBJS and an apple)
8:00pm- We got to have a sweet time of worship led by some of the staff at Til He Returns.
9:00pm- Alfredo takes us home for the night.
9:30pm-We spend some time with the morning ministry group and doing some squad bonding because we haven’t seen them all day!
10:00pm- Time for Bed!
