In only 10 days, I launch with my squad to Gainesville,Georgia. Its hard to believe that this season of preparation for the race is quickly coming to an end. Its been over a year since i started getting ready for this next season of life, its gone so fast but I have seen God move in big and small ways ever since i decided to follow the call to GO!

That being said, the past few weeks have been a crazy whirlwind of emotions. If your reading this, you may or may not now, i never really planned on doing a gap year. I didn't even really plan on going to live at a college. I always thought i would live at home and commute to a local college, so i could stay with my family. But obviously God had completely different plans and I am just following where he's leading.

To be honest, preparing to leave everything you've ever known is scary... and exciting and sad. It's all these things and so much more. Leaving your comfort zone is hard, that's exactly why it is called a comfort zone. Straying outside of it makes you uncomfortable. Let's be honest, there are a lot of unknowns right now. Any expectation I could have built up for this adventure has crumbled because everything is always changing. And I am becoming okay with that. Letting go of plans and expectations makes it easier to trust the only one who knows exactly what will happen.

Goodbyes are hard, but saying goodbye means I get to welcome in 30+ new people that will become family into my life as well as what God is going to do in this next chapter, i am really excited for whats to come.

As Winnie the Pooh once said....

"How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard"

Much Love,

Delaney
