Hi all!

It’s been a while… I am happy to be writing to you again! This season of life has been a time of uncertainty, change and it has been teaching me a lot. I have been getting a lot of questions about what is happening with this next adventure. So, this blog will be addressing all of that and updating you on what’s next for me and my squad.

For a few months, my squad and I have known that our gap year may not look the same as everyone else’s has. We knew there could be a chance that we won’t be able to leave the country right away due to the state of the world. And in knowing this we have been preparing for a decision to be made by July 1st. Adventures has been hard at work preparing an amazing contingency plan for us which is something I am really excited about!

So instead of leaving for Africa in September like we planned, we have an opportunity to live in Georgia for 3 ½ months on the Adventures in Missions campus before hopefully leaving to the international mission field in January. You may be wondering what that will look like for me, well, I will be living with my squad and getting to know them while getting hands-on training in missions and being taught leadership skills by amazing leaders.

Now that being said, we are still getting details and things, but I couldn’t be more excited about what these future months hold for me and my squad! A huge thank you to Adventures for spending so much time and effort making sure this is a great opportunity for us.

I believe that God knew all along that our gap year was going to look different and I am so grateful that we get to start in the mission field of our very own country, where we need some healing right now! That being said, our fundraising amount has not changed! I still have about $5,800 left to raise until I am fully funded. I would love your continued support in prayer, and I would love to chat if you have any questions about this new change. BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR A NEW FUNDRAISER!!
